Im going with the four wire pickups so I can install two pushpush switches so I have the option to switch from humbuckers to single coil. The volume and tone knobs also serve to split the two pickups from humbuckers to single coil which I like very much along with the sound of them.

Different strokes, but these are not like any Duncans Ive used - I have Antiquities II singles, Jazz, 59s, etc. The Super 58 pups are higher output than I like, so I have lowered them as low as they will go in their frames, and they are usable, with a fair tone with some character, but not sweet nor mellow. I am a Duncan Alnico II Pro pup freak and I have them in my Midtown, Fret King Elise semi, and Tele due to being a blues and classic RB player, lots of big 6 string chords rhythm through Deluxe Reverb with big Weber Alnico speaker. So now, Im a new believer in the Super 58s and am thinking about going back and getting that axe Oh and I ran it through a boss gt100 and a line 6 floor pod plus and it seemed to really cut through the processed tones a lot better than a few of the other guitars i tried on them. I DID hear some woofiness on the pickups in a Peavey classic 50 I played it on but when I went over to the new Marshall DSL40 they had the guitar came alive and fattened up an otherwise thin sounding amp. Not sure on these but if they are newer then I would go with the PRS. I have had several of the AM series small 335 types over the years and never like the super 58s that came in them. Theyre supposed to be really good pickups with single-coil-ish clarity.
